Women’s Work – Quilts, Textiles and their Stories

Exhibition in Hailsham 26 February to 9 April 2022

I was extremely honoured to be asked by Gallery North in Hailsham, our local community gallery, to curate an exhibition of my precious collection of quilts. As many of you know I have been a passionate collector of quilts for many years so I am thrilled to be able to show them off. For me, it is not just the textiles I love but the stories behind them so the exhibition features quilts old and new in four different themes Redwork, Feedsack, Canadian Red Cross and my Harriet Tubman Quilt and then I also tell the story about each of them, how they were made and why they inspire me.

The exhibition is free and runs from 26 Feburary to 9 April 2022. Check artgallerynorth.co.uk for opening times, directions and details.
