These designs are set to fit either a 100 mm x 100 mm or a 200mm x 200mm universal square hoop. Not all machines allow editing or resizing.
The stitch length is set to 2.2, to create a more hand sewn look and although we like to hand embroider on linen, the machine embroideries tend to work better on a cotton or calico which has a tighter weave.
We use a Madeira thread (colour 787) for the closest match to our usual DMC coton a broder (colour 815), and a standard cotton for the bobbin. Of course you can use whatever you like!
