Over the Rooftops Embroidery Machine File
This design is from one of Mandy’s classic hanging hearts. The pattern to make this as a hanging heart is available in our main shop and not included in this download. You could also make this as a cushion, a block for a quilt, or a hoopie!
This download is a zip file containing a DST, VP3, VIP, JEF, HUS, EXP and PES, if your embroidery machine requires a different format please contact us and we can try to send an alternative.
This is set to fit a 200mm x 200mm universal square hoop. Not all machines allow editing or resizing.
The stitch length is set to 2.2, to create a more hand sewn look and although we like to hand embroider on linen, the machine embroideries tend to work better on a cotton or calico which has a tighter weave.
We use a Madeira thread (colour 787) for the closest match to our usual DMC coton a broder (colour 815), and a standard cotton for the bobbin. Of course you can use whatever you like!
